The Entrepreneurial Exchange

Entrepreneurial Philanthropy

The Entrepreneurial Exchange is working on a new charity to be called Enlight which will enable members to give their skills and expertise as well as cash to charitable projects.  The initial focus will be on providing resources to projects that help young people in Scotland build their skills and self-esteem, to overcome barriers and improve their quality of life.  Our aim is to make a real difference, so we'll be working with innovative projects that have clear objectives and business approach so we can maximise the benefits for everyone.   It's about engaged giving, so we'll be offering members the opportunity to get involved as mentors when charities need specific support such as strategy, marketing or change management expertise.

The Advisory Board is being chaired by Jim McColl OBE and John Anderson, Brian Aitchison, Richard Dixon, Jim Foley, Keith Punler and Iain Stirling are also involved.  Imogen Assenti who has experience in the voluntary sector and was the Development Director at the Scottish Community Foundation, has been involved since the beginning and has just been appointed to work with us.
