Feedback

Getting top tips and a successful business owner's perspective on life and business is always helpful and encouraging

The value was hearing interesting ideas. Networking with others was great

A great success story from James. His passion and pride in his company and staff is a good example to us all. Concentrating on what you are good at and not diversifying unnecessarily is a lesson for us all

Networking was very good as usual, more new faces to meet. Jim's experience of finding your niche resonated very strongly with me as we have just completed an exercise to establish our niche so that was great

Networking after the talk was excellent, as usual

Great networking

Extremely interesting story told in a very simple and down to earth manner

The value of this event was hearing the story from the man himself

Great to listen to such a wise and straightforward Gentleman (in every sense of the word) talk about good old fashioned hard work and great products. The original back to basics

An opportunity to hear first hand the story behind one of Scotland's most successfull companies. A good networking opportunity with a good number of exchange members in attendance

Key tip I took away - diversification of the product base and keeping a balanced spread of the customer base. And stay true to your product and don't rush things!

Key tip - sticking to the knitting seems to work!

I was going to leave the event after the talk. However I got into some really bad company and had a great night with the 'last men standing'

My kety tip - first-class ingredients and a healthy amount of respect and you can build an iconic brand

Bob was as ever, excellent!

Good humour from Bob

Good tempo from Bob and interesting comments

Bob as always provided appropriate comment, encouraged discussion and kept everything moving very well while including as many people as possible in the discussion

I liked Bob's humour and interaction with the audience

Bob was fantasic

Bob kept the evening flowing very smoothly

Jim was an extremely nice man and so understated about his success

Great event - well done

What a great journey this business has been on, some great examples of running a small business, making it world beating while sticking to your values - supberb.

Thank you again for organising such a great event
