Peter Grant

Managing Director, Grant ASSET Management

What inspires me are those who have done it and those who can teach me how to do it.  I have found both in the Entrepreneurial Exchange, in abundance..

The Day Job...

Peter founded Grant Management (GM), in 1997. The company helps people invest in traditional Residential property, by sourcing, renovating, furnishing and managing property as a "one stop shop" solution.

The company has roughly doubled in size each year, primarily through client referrals and word of mouth. It now has a FT staff of 90, and manages some 1,850 properties in 12 cites across the UK.

Clients range from private individuals with just one flat, to hi wealth clients with a property portfolio.

In 2006 Grant Management became involved with property funds, and now runs three funds of up to £100m on behalf of institutions and hi wealth clients. Shareholders include Bank of Scotland and Sir Tom Hunter.

Putting something back...

Peter was inspired to set up a charity in 2006, to help reverse Global warming. GlobalTrees.co.uk helps reverse global warming, by raising money and planting trees. Trees act as the lungs of the world, breathing in CO2 and breathing out Oxygen.

Global trees allows individuals and companies to calculate their carbon footprint through the web site and go Neutral by planting trees. Grant Management went carbon Neutral in December 2006.

The charity has planted some 350,000 trees in three continents in the past 3 years.

Personal interests include skiing, snowboarding, sailing and golf.

Peter is a director of the Entrepreneurial Exchange and is involved with Enlight - the philanthropy arm of the Entrepreneurial Exchange.
