The third annual Entrepreneurs' Ball was held at the Glasgow Hilton on 8 June 2002. Sponsored by the Daily Record, with a theme of Saturday Night Fever - The Greatest Disco in Town, it brought out the creative best in our members who looked out their old flares, wide collars and platform shoes and wig makers must have done well judging by the number of afro wigs on display.
After an excellent meal laid on by the Glasgow Hilton team, the 440 guests danced to Boney M and the Greatest Disco in Town, provided by Radio Clyde.
The auction and silent auction saw some brisk bidding and by the end of the night a staggering £360,000 had been raised for Make a Wish Foundation and Save the Children.
The success of the evening in raising money to support the broader community in Scotland would not have been possible without the support of the members who took tickets and tables and the companies who donated their services and prizes.
