Gordon Stuart is a Founder and Managing Director of Spektra. Spektra is one of the country's leading providers of on-line solutions to the financial services sector. The company is built on very solid foundations, based on the principle of achieving success through the involvement and development of its people.  He is currently on the board of Scottish Enterprise Edinburgh and Lothian and has been an active member of the Entrepreneurial Exchange for over 5 years. Gordon has a degree in Electronic Engineering, an MBA and is a Chartered Engineer. He has worked internationally including spells in Australia and Switzerland.

The Evening will be Chaired by Charan Gill.  Charan is the face and mastermind behind the hugely successful Glasgow based Harlequin Restaurant Group, now the largest Indian restaurant chain in the UK. Over the last 17 years, Charan has turned the Glaswegian passion for curry into a thriving empire of thirteen restaurants across the central belt of Scotland. He arrived in Glasgow from the Punjab, India in 1963 with little knowledge of English or indeed the western culture.  Denied a university education, he started his career as a turner and fitter at Yarrow's Shipyards on the Clyde in 1969.  Through grim determination, and at times desperation, he decided to apply his innate ability to turn ideas into innovative concepts - with outstanding results.  In 1998 Charan was awarded an MBE for his contribution to the food and catering industry. Harlequin Leisure Group now also incorporates Harlequin Properties and Harlequin Developments, concentrating on luxury conversions and new build properties across west central Scotland. The Group now employs in excess of 450 staff, and its contribution to the Scottish economy has been considerable. Charan is also a Director of The Entrepreneurial Exchange.
