Iain MacRitchie, MCR Holdings. Iain gained his early growth experiences as Managing Director of Donprint International, an award winning product ID, and specialist film supplier to the electronics industry. Through rapid international expansion including the development of USA manufacturing and a startup of a highly innovative coating facility, the business grew from generating just £40k of profits to over £5million. The company was sold to Jarvis Porter plc in 1994 where Iain remained for 3 years, latterly as Chairman of the Health & Beauty Division of 6 plants throughout Europe. Since exiting he has devoted his time to chairing and facilitating the turnaround and development of a number of traditional UK companies and been responsible for 2 technology start-ups. He is currently CEO of MCR Holdings a company specialising in restructuring, corporate development and management buy-ins. He is also personally engaged in recovery and development projects as Chairman of Hayward Tyler, a multinational engineering group headquartered in the UK, Chairman of Waddies a direct mail and printing group and CEO of a loose Group of UK manufacturing companies. He is also founder and CEO of FST, a software and secure document service provider for the financial services sector, establishing a profitable and rapidly expanding technology company in only its second year. In addition he acts as a lead advisor to a number of financial institutions and venture capitalists. John Morgan was born in Glasgow, educated in Greenock and now lives in Bridge of Allan. He describes that process as "Glasgow born, Greenock bred, Bridge of Allan refined". He became Managing Director of his first advertising agency at the age of 23 and after 10 years learning at someone else's expense, formed his own company Morgan Associates in 1980. Morgans merged with Struthers Advertising & Marketing in 1990 and later became The Morgan Partnership. John's new company, merle limited, was formed in December 2001 and handles such clients as Highland Spring, CR Smith, Linn Products, Wiseman Dairies, Sky Television, Butlers Farmhouse Cheeses, Kwik-Fit Fleet and TyrePlus, the second chain in the Kwik-Fit company. John was a founding board member of the Entrepreneurial Exchange and stood down as a Director at the recent AGM. He also chairs the Annual Dinner & Awards.
