 Robin Marshall Director, 3i plc

Undergraduate education at the University of Glasgow, where he was President of the Union, and winner of the World Debating Championships.  Post-graduate education at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a Thouron Scholar. 
 
Worked with Procter & Gamble, and McKinsey & Company in the UK, Germany and Sweden for 8 years prior to joining 3i in 2000.  Key deals since joining 3i include: the buyouts of Canvas Holidays, Mono Ltd, DPT and Careshare, the fundraisings for Strakan, Ardana Bioscience and Intense Photonics, and the disposals of Stiell and First Engineering.
 
Robin currently leads 3is business in Central Scotland.

 Bill McCall Principal, McCall & Partners

Principal of McCall & Partners, a strategic corporate finance and investment research firm, which he set up in 1999.

He is Chairman and an Independent Director of a number of companies on behalf of investing financial institutions, primarily aiding development, growth and exit aspirations.

Having previously been a Director of City merchant bank Singer & Friedlander and a buy-out partner in Tilney & Co, he has been analysing and advising companies for more than 15 years. An economist, and former securities analyst, Bill was elected to membership of the London Stock Exchange in 1990, is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and Fellow of the Securities Institute.

The evening will be chaired by Nelson Gray, Gap Fund Managers Ltd and Director of The Entrepreneurial Exchange
