Working with companies large and small, such as The Royal Bank of Scotland, Scottish Prison Service, Ernst & Young and Kvaerner Kincaid, the company’s team of HR specialists, psychologists and academics, gives support and advice on the full range of people issues including employment law, performance management, executive coaching, opinion surveys and management development. In addition, they have dealt with many more unusual requests from clients such as ‘how to replicate the so-called perfect employee in future recruitment’, ‘how to stop two departments fighting with each other’ and ‘how to retain the best employees and lose the worst’!

The evening will be Chaired by Angela Paterson (34) who set up Kite Ltd (www.kite.uk.com). four years ago.  The company provides specialist HR services to the SME marketplace – addressing issues such as company policies & procedures, hiring and training.   In addition, she is a major shareholder in Square One Finance Ltd –  which, with a similar business model – and a highly experienced team - supports new or growing businesses with accountancy, book keeping and financial services. These businesses were set up as result of her belief that many young companies have directors who are experts in their own specific fields – but need flexible, quality HR and Finance support at an affordable price to help them establish a strong platform for growth. More recently she became Director of another firm - Graduates into Business – aimed at hiring, induction and training of graduates for the SME sector.  She has worked with both local and international companies and her clients have included Bank of Scotland, Standard Life, IndigoVision, Intasys, Aspects Software, National Australia Group, Student Loans Company, First State Investments and a wealth of other organisations in predominantly the financial and technology sectors.  Angela is also a Director of The Entrepreneurial Exchange.
