Key benefit was the reassurance from others at the meeting that the difficulties I have faced are not uncommon! Shared experiences really help. New approaches to identifying acquisition targets suggested

There were a few ideas around how to identify acquisitions that I think were particularly creative. There were also some good tips on how to track the past performance of potential acquisitions.

Good nuggets of information, good exchange of views

I loved Les's tips on handy tricks when looking at distressed businesses. I've made a few notes and will refer to them if we go down this route

Key tip - Speed of action when integrating. Clarity of purpose and plan in place ahead of acquisition

Planning is key and have a timetable

Key tip - When you're integrating companies make sure the communication between all stakeholders is very good, positive and quick

Quite a few key tips- Take your time to make the right choices; 51% purchase can constitute an acqusition; Get in external experience; Acquistions can just include the purchase of the name and telephone number of a liquidated company

Les did very well and his enthusiasm to make the evening go well was evident. Ensured inclusion around the table - was a participating chairperson

Les was very good, kept everyone to order (and some needed it!) monitored time, made an effort to ensure everyones views were heard and was very enthusiatic about the subject matter

Les was a fantastic Chair and kept the evening running smoothly and on time.

Les was as brilliant as ever, found time for everyone

Les was very enthusiastic, open and helpful. Moved the conversations on well with good timing

Les was really up for the task and contributed a lot from his own experience. He made sure all were involved and was enthusiastic from the start.

Ian had an interesting and relevant story to tell

Ian was very knowledgeable in his field

Great to hear about Ian's experiences

Ian is a lovely chap and is very open with his experiences etc.

Ian's presentation was well thought out and he considered answers to all questions

This event was one of the best that I have attended for quite a while. From the Chair to the speaker to the audience it all worked very well and I learned a lot. Thanks.
