Shona Mitchell

Shona founded Peoplematters in 1996 after spending over ten years as a training manager and advisor within both the public and private sector.

She has an extensive track record of working with clients on a range of strategic human resource initiatives.  Much of her work centres around improving business performance through HR strategy development, top team and leadership development and one to one coaching and she has a particular interest in emerging leadership theories, emotional intelligence and neuro linguistic programming.

Shona’s passion is to create business success through harnessing the power and potential of people.  Her particular skill of inspiring trust and building relationships with clients ensures a climate of collaboration that guarantees success and produces measurable results.  She holds a Masters Degree in Human Resource Development and is qualified to administer and provide feedback and coaching in a range of psychometric instruments. 

As well as her role in Peoplematters, Shona is a committee member of IOD Fife Branch and a Board Member of Aspire4Africa – an organisation created to support leadership and business skills development in Africa.

Callum Bastock 

Callum is the CEO and founder of Consolidated Carriers Ltd (CCL) a“Complete Logistics Supermarket” located in Troon, Scotland. 

Having worked at Lamar UK, a supplier to the Printed Circuit Board industry, from 1984 to 1999 Callum worked his way up the organisation to become Deputy MD.  In 1997 Callum was part of a management buyout with the 3i’s.  He then left Lamar in 1999 and set up CCL. 

CCL’s services include; mail, parcels, pallets, full and part loads and containers for distribution throughout the UK, Europe or Worldwide by air, road or sea, for both imports and exports.  The company outsources the physical collection and delivery function to global Blue Chip providers. 

CCL has rapidly grown from its inception and since 2002 has achieved annual growth of no less than 30%. 

Born in Jersey (Channel Isles), Callum lived in England and South Africa before moving to Ayrshire, Scotland in 1976 where he has lived since.  He is married to Debbie and has two children Jordan (18) and Rachael (16).  In his spare time Callum enjoys photography, cycling and skiing.
