Ann Gloag OBE 2001

Ann Gloag OBEAnn Gloag was a theatre sister in the National Health Service for many years before joining her brother, Brian, as co-founder of Stagecoach, the UK transport group. She has become one of the country's most successful female entrepreneurs. Today Ann remains on the Stagecoach board and is a prolific philanthropist and private investor.

She supports the charity, Mercy Ships, where surgeons and medical staff tend to the sick in Africa, and where Ann works in the operating theatre.
