Singing For His Dinner

YO!  Suchi founder Simon Woodroffe certainly knows how to mesmerise an audience.  After regaling Scottish entrepreneurs at the Entrepreneurial Exchange conference at Glenealges with amusing empire-building tales, Woodroffe ended his speech by revealing a new ambition.  It seems the genial chap had a hankering to write a Ian Dury-style song backed by the Blockheads.

Woodroffe admitted that, yes, it seemed like an impossible dream at first, but he gave it a shot anyways.  And lo and behold after an unlikely chain of events: a song was born.  He then treated the audience to a live performance.  Needless to say the performance was dreadful but he didn't leave the audience cold (ahem).
