Hundreds turn out for green's induction

The self-made billionaire behind some of Britain's best known high street retail chains was made an honorary member of the Entrepreneurial Exchange last night. Philip Green, who owns Bhs and the Arcadia Group which includes Top Shop, Top Man, Burton, Miss Selfridge, Dorothy Perkins, Wallis and Evans, received the honour in Glasgow from top Scots entrepreneur Tom Hunter.

Mr Green was in the city to speak about his businesses at a special exchange meeting held at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.

An audience of more than 500 packed the hall. The majority were exchange members, although their was a large interest from the public. Prior to the meeting, Mr Green met a class of pupils studying for their higher certificates in business management at Jordanhill School.
